On July 01, on world's Doctors Day, Radio Sarang held live phone in programme Hallo Wenlock with Dr Vijay Kumar, physician from District Wenlock Hospital. Dr Kumar gave a useful information about the diseases which spread during rainy reason. As he said, most of these diseases are water-borne.
There are three types of diseases usually seen:
1. Waterborne diseases like gastroenteritis such as diarrhoea, typhoid and Cholera.
2.Masquitoborne diseases like malaria, dengue and leptospirosis.
3. Snake bites that can happen during agriculture season.
The farmers must be careful during agricultural activities, because a lot of venomous snakes move in dirty water invisible to bear eyes, Dr Kumar said. Drinking boiled water is the best solution during rainy season.
