Jude Noronha of ‘Do Re Mi Fa’ fame comes to Taallo Umaallo

“When I was very young and one day while having dinner with family, my elder brother told me ‘People say you are unfit person and you simply waste your time by roaming around. You don’t have a capacity to work and earn’. These words hurt me and brought changes in my life, and I challenged myself and today I have the satisfaction of proving to myself that I am capable,” said Jude Noronha, well known Konkani emcee and television artist. He was the guest at the Konkani Thaallo Umaallo programme on November 8.

 Mr Noronha is originally from Venur where rich beauty of nature helped in his growth and carrier. He is the youngest child among twelve in the family. His mother Christine Noronha is 89-year-old and resides at Venur.

His parents were originally from Tacode which is a place of Konkani poets. He said that this place had a partial influence in his language.  Later established his own electrical shop in Mangalore and worked as electrical contractor.

 Mr Noronha has been emceeing for the last 30 years. His strong voice is his rich asset, he says. He accepts Mr Titus Noronha as his Guru in the field of compering.  

Daijiworld television has been a vital part of his career. He has hosted two popular shows - ‘Do Re Mi Fa’ and ‘Thodi Kushi Thodyo Dhoshi’ - which brought him worldwide popularity.

He is also a writer and has written many short stories such as ‘Moth Uzwadthana’, ‘Kutmachi Deswat Zathasthana’, ‘Mogar Podthana, among others.

He said he got a second lease of life recently, where he recovered from a very major health issue.
