Taallo Umaallo: Stany Bela remembers his childhood days as shaping his thinking process

Well known poet and script writer and director Stany Bela was the guest for the Thaallo Umaallo programme on August 23.

Stany comes from a village called Bela in Kasargod district of Kerala state. After working for 10 years in Dubai he started his working for Daijiworld Media where he continues till date as bureau head and programme director.

Mr Stany said that at the age of just 17 he wrote eleven devotional songs for Daivik Sandesh album. “I make sure to make my songs unique as I do not add sentimentality and romance in them,” he said.

Stany remembered his early days in his hometown where he grew up reading a lot of insightful literature. “I was introduced to Karl Marx and other thinkers which has shaped my thinking,” he said. He also added that his life in Dubai helped him hone his talent in script writing and direction. “I underwent a short training programme in film making in Dubai and this is helping me these days in my career as a script writer and director in Konkani,” he added.

He has contributed a lot for ‘Public Challenge’ show of Daijiworld television as a script writer and director. “During the lockdown last year, our efforts to reach people through our unique shows at Daijiworld have borne fruit,” Mr Stany said.

Stany has also written script for ‘Mrs Meena’ a Konkani serial followed by another serial ‘Godfather’.

During the live programme, Mr Stany recited three of his poems. Several callers including some from Dubai interacted with Mr Stany Bela during the show.

Stany is the recipient of Kittal youth award 2011.
